  • Art Awards

    On February 11th CHHS art students participated in the Region 11W Visual Arts Scholastic Event. CHHS took a total of 64 artworks to the event. Out of these, 41 works received the highest rating of a "4."

    Special congratulations to CHHS Junior, Alexandra Popke, whose work was selected to advance to the State VASE competition April 28-29 in San Antonio.

  • CHHS Debate Team

    Congratulations to the debate team for their performance this past weekend at the Jesuit College Prep tournament. The following students won awards at the meet:

  • Panther Cheer-NHSCC
    The CHHS Panther Cheerleaders competed at the National High School Cheerleading Championships (NHSCC) on February 11-12. 2017. The NHSCC is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country. It is held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and is nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year. Over 500 teams from around the nation and world come to compete at the NHSCC every year. 
    This year the Panther Cheerleaders received 7th place in the nation in Super Varsity Game Day! The Game Day competition combines a sideline chant, cheer, and band dance into a 3 minute routine.

  • Career Night


    Mark your calendar for a Career Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Feb. 22 at CHHS, sponsored by the AP Booster Club, the CHHS Counseling Department and CHHS PTSA.There will be drawings for Amazon gift cards for those who attend
    Speaker information is available here The APBC would also like students to RSVP at this link, if possible, so we can plan room sizes. At least 20 speakers in a variety of fields will give 15-minute presentations, with time for questions, about their educational background and their career.

  • ASVAB Test

    The ASVAB will be offered at CHHS on March 7, 2017 at 8:45 am in the Library. GHS, CHHS, and Bridges students are welcome!

  • Spring STAAR Testing Dates

    Please mark your calendars for the spring STAAR testing dates. Students are required to pass the following EOC exams in order to graduate. More information will be coming closer to the testing dates.

    March 28 - English I
    March 30 - English II
    May 2nd - Algebra
    May 3rd - US History & Biology

  • Parent University
    The CHHS Counseling Department will host Parent University 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at CHHS. Parents can find out more about their students’ schedules and college prep by attending sessions about course selection, ACT/SAT, Top Tier universities, and more! The event is open to all incoming 9th-12th grade families. Just prior to Parent U., CHHS PTSA will hold a General Meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. Parents are invited to attend to approve changes to the CHHS PTSA by-laws and to hear from Principal Lance Groppel. Incoming 9th grade (and all) parents can also sign up for PTSA now for next year to be in-the-know over the summer. Anyone who joins at the PTSA table will get a gift card to Chick-Fil-A.
