Mr. Jason Williams
Mr. Williams has taught band for 13 years, and grew up in a musical family.   My dad was my band director in high school.  He started playing trumpet in 6th grade and it quickly became his favorite subject in school.   It was during his junior year of high school that he decided that music is what he wanted to do the rest of his life.  Mr. Williams plays every chance he gets, and performs with many local groups in the DFW area.

When he is not teaching or playing my instrument, he is usually just hanging out at home with my wife Christina (a nurse at Cook Children’s Medical Center) and his THREE daughters!!Isabella is his oldest, 5, who started kindergarten this year and loves Hello Kitty.Olivia, 3, who is in preschool and loves (trying to) be the boss. And baby Sofia, who was just born on June 9.

Ms. Jennifer Fisher
In 2000-2001, Ms. Fisher was the band director at East Alton-Wood River Community High School in Wood River, Illinois. In the summer of 2001, she moved to Texas and has been at Grapevine Middle School ever since.  Her duties include directing the Symphonic Band, assisting the Honors and Jazz Band, and teaching the Beginner Clarinets, Saxophones and Double Reed classes.  Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators’ Association and Texas Bandmasters’ Association.

Ms. Fisher’s philosophy is based upon four simple ideals; that all members of the band share equally in their responsibilities; all members make a solid commitment through all practices and performances; we all take pride in the process that has allowed us to achieve our goals; and that all members become life-long learners, promoters of music, and positive contributors to society.  Band instills commitment to excellence, responsibility, musical expression, leadership, self-discipline, confidence and pride.  It helps students to become well-rounded individuals as well as engaging students to learn how to work toward a common goal as a team. It is important that her students develop a long-term commitment to music through participation, promotion, and involvement within the school and community.

Ms. Fisher has two children, Sarah Kate, 6, and Colin, 3, who is definitely all boy!  She enjoys spending as much time with her kids, as well as skiing and playing tennis.  She is also a huge Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Cardinals fan!
