Hi, my name is Riqui Villarreal and I've taught PE at Cannon Elementary since 2009. GCISD has been my home since 2005; before becoming a Cannon Cub, I was a Shooting Star at Silver Lake Elementary. Growing up in Dallas, I was a huge Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys fan. I graduated high school from St. Mark's School of Texas where I played football, threw shot put and discus on the track team and wrestled.
At Cannon I teach Physical Education to all students in grades K-5 and along with Nurse Sue oversee the Cannon RoadRunners fitness club. In addition to being certified to teach PE in grade levels EC-12, I am certified as an EC-4 Generalist in English and Spanish.
I attended Wheaton College just outside Chicago where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Christian Education in 2002. Believe it or not, while I was there, I added a different sport to my list, cheerleading! After finishing my degree, I spent a little over two years as the youth director at a church in Long Beach, California. When I'm away from Cannon, I coach high school wrestling during the winter, and once or twice a week I work the front desk at the Grapevine Community Activities Center. These days, my favorite sports are baseball (still a huge Rangers fan), soccer (los Pumas del UNAM and the Mexican National Team) and high school and college wrestling. Most of my family lives in the DFW metroplex and I enjoy spending time with them and my friends. I live here in Grapevine with my wife (Mrs. Coach V) and son (Baby Coach V); we do a lot of walking and hanging around town, keep your eyes peeled and you might see us!

Hi, My name is Caryn Zollmann and this is my first year at Cannon Elementary as a coach, but this is not my first year as a cub. I grew up in Grapevine and when I was a child I went to Cannon Elementary! I am so excited to be back here and have the opportunity to work with the amazing students that attend this school. I am certified to teach P.E. in all grade levels EC-12. I attended Texas A&M University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Health Education in 2009. Of course being an Aggie I love all things Texas A&M like going back for football games and watching them play on T.V. Some of my hobbies include running, playing volleyball, and going to the movies. I have been married to my amazing husband Joe for almost 2 years, he is a Pilot for American Eagle, and we live in Grapevine. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and having a fun and productive year! : )
