  • GCISD Education -- Go Get It Week: November 17-21, 2014
GCISD "Go Get It Week" is a week dedicated to college and work force preparedness. Here at CMS we have a week filled with fun and educational activities to encourage and inspire our kids to be future forward thinkers!
    Monday (11/17):
    Theme: "I am a graduate of 2019, 2020, 2021".
-- Students will write their graduation date and name on a graduation cap and display on their locker. This will be done during Stretch. Students will also get to learn about their teachers: where they went to school, why they decided to go to that school, and how they got to that point in their life.
    Tuesday (11/18):
Theme: "On your mark, get set, go!"
--  8th grade students will be going through the TCC "Go Center" to see how their choices can affect their college goals and lifestyles. There will be QR codes throughout the building that all students can click on and see information about various universities & the teachers who attended them.
    Wednesday (11/19):
Theme: Explore the possibilities! GCISD College Shirt Day!
    Thursday (11/20):
Theme: "Dress for Success" Students are encouraged to dress for the career they would like to pursue when they graduate.
    Friday (11/21):
Theme: "Achieve Your Goals" During stretch today, students will be given a blank pennant to write down the college of their choice, what their goals are, and what steps they would want/ need to take to get there! Avid students will collect the pennants and will be showcasing them in the cafeteria!
