Personal Background
I grew up in Moline, Illinois. I attended the University of Illinois as a music major. After marrying my husband Tom, I continued my education in Texas at U.T.A. I received a Bachelors degree in communications with a certificate in Elementary Ed.
I have 2 grown boys, Mike and Patrick.
I also have 2 grandsons, Austin and Braydon.
I have worked in education for over 20yrs.
My favorite memory related to school was when I taught at Carroll Elem. in Southlake. I was team teaching with another teacher, and we set a semester goal for the students to reach. If they met the goal, we would have a lock-in in the school gym over night. They met their goal and we did a barbecue, played games outside until dark, and then came in and played board games. At 10:00, we put in a movie and settled down to bed. It was a great time!!
The students motivate me to do what I need to do each and every day. I love their smiles, their sense of humor, and watching them grow intellectually and emotionally. Kids are great!!!!
