Welcome to 1st grade!! I have been a teacher is GCISD since 2000.

I have taught in Kansas, New York and Texas. The majority of my experience is in 1st grade, but I have taught 3rd grade, 6th grade and learning disabilities. This is my 24 year of teaching. I received a BSE and a MSE from the University of Kansas.

My favorite memory in school was in 3rd grade when I got 100% on each spelling test the whole year!!
I absolutely love to see the look on a child's face when they learn something new. It is so much fun to see a class of 1st graders mesmerized by a story. Reading a great book to children gives me so much joy.

I am married to a great guy, Bob, and we have two daughters, Lizzy and Kate, who are both 3rd generation Jayhawks at the University of Kansas. Last, but not least, is my wonderful golden retriever, Sam, who I love to share stories about with my students.
