    About Mrs. Osborne
I grew up in Colleyville and attended GCISD schools for 1st grade through 12th grade. In fact, I went to Heritage Elementary School for 1st grade - 5th grade. Our 4th grade classroom is the same classroom I had as a 4th grader! I am so excited to be back at home teaching. It is truly a dream come true.
I graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School and went on to receive my bachelors degree from TCU (Go Frogs!). I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education. After TCU, I began teaching in Burleson. I taught for 5 years before coming to Heritage. I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, and served as a reading and math specialist for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. While teaching, I earned my masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from UTA. I am currently working on my doctorate in Educational Leadership at TCU.
My husband and I have been married for 2 years. We have two cats, Witzki and Gracie. Justin and I love to go to TCU football games and have had season tickets for several seasons. We also love to travel and spend time with our families.
Traveling is a passion of mine. In college I had the opportunity to study abroad through the Semester at Sea program. I lived on a ship with 1,000 college students and professors. We sailed around the world while taking courses and visiting countries. It was a truly life changing experience. I have been to every continent, with the exception of Antarctica. I love to share some of my travel artifacts with my students.
I am blessed to have a job that I truly love. School was a joyous experience for me and I strive to create that same level of joy for my students. I believe in meeting the different needs of my students. This means that most of our instruction happens in small groups or one on one. We will spend a lot of time exploring and interacting with technology. While 4th grade can be a challenging year, and we have high expectations, I know that all of my students are capable of succeeding and having fun along the way!
Please feel free to contact me anytime during the year. Great learning happens with parents, teachers, and community members working together. You may send a note, call or email. Please know that I will not check my email when I am teaching kids, so if you need an immediate response call the school office.
