My name is Jeremie Parker and I have been in education since 2003. My first two years I taught at Sam Houston High School in Arlington ISD. I moved to Irving ISD where I have been for the past 8 years. I was born at Travis AFB in California where my parents met. I lived in Utah until I was 8 and then my family moved to Arlington until I was 16 when my family moved backed to Utah. Having lived in Texas early in my life made me want to return, so after I graduated from Weber State University with a Major in History and Criminal Justice minor. I'm also a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. I moved back to the DFW area in 2003 after graduation where I met my best friend; Julie 13 years ago and we were married a year later. We have two children Kepler 6 and Avery 4 and our dog Joe 8 . I love the outdoors a little too much. I'm a river guide out of Jackson Hole WY, and have guided trips down the Green River (Utah) in Desolation and Gray Canyons. Golfing and baseball are two sports that both my son and I enjoy playing and watching together. My family enjoys going to Minocqua, Wisconsin during the summer and spending time on Lake Tomahawk and the many golf courses in the area. I'm also in search of the finest microbrew style sodas in the country. So far my favorite brand is Sprecher's out of Wisconsin. I enjoy teaching Social Studies and helping students learn about different cultures.
