I have been teaching Special Education since 2008.  I began my career at a middle school in the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, Colorado.  I joined Silver Lake and GCISD in February of 2014, when we relocated for my husband's job.
I believe all students can learn and grow.  It is important to me that students are given the opportunity to learn in an environment where he/she feels safe and is encouraged and able to take risks.  As the teacher, it is my job to teach, connect with, support, respect, and understand my students.
    Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy being with my family and friends.  I have lived in many different areas of the United States, and my husband is from Canada, so we spend a lot of time traveling to visit our loved ones.  We have two sons and a Goldendoodle, who keep us laughing and busy!  We love to be outdoors and have fun exploring new places.
