Welcome to the Silver Lake Clinic!
Lisa Cunningham, RN, BSN
My husband and I both grew up in Fort Worth and are graduates of TCU. We've been raising our four sons in Colleyville since 2003 and have enjoyed watching them play baseball and football. You'll find us at the movies or at our son's games most weekends and week nights. I enjoy reading, relaxing by the pool, spending time with my family and teaching our shooting stars how to live a healthy lifestyle. I graduated from TCU with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992. I have 23 years of experience working in the hospital and surgery center settings with experience in cardiac cath lab, ER, Pre-op/Recovery, Endoscopy and Neonatal ICU. This is my third year at Silver Lake Elementary and I have been blessed to have found my dream job serving your students within GCISD.
"School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well being,
academic success, and life-long achievement of students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems;
provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation,
self management, self advocacy, and learning."
-- Definition adopted by the NASN Board of Directors, June 1999
