CTMS ASPIRE G/T Lead
Conference M-F 8:10-8:57
About: I am excited to be a part of Cross Timbers ASPIRE again this year! I have worked in education for twenty-three years at the middle school, high school, and college levels, and I love working with students. I received my B.A. in Politics from the University of Dallas, my M.A. in Reading from Texas Woman's University, and my Ph.D. in Reading with a minor in Anthropology from the University of North Texas. My teaching and research interests include gifted education, multicultural and international literature, best practices in secondary education, and critical literacy. I have written several journal articles and book chapters and have presented at a number of professional conferences. In addition to working at secondary schools during the school year, I also teach graduate-level education courses and have spent the last four summers working as an Academic Coordinator for Duke University's Talent Identification Program. I have also served as a Malone Fellow with the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, cheering at my children's sporting events, and watching tennis.
