Hola! My name is Jorge Guerrero and this will be my 2nd year teaching/coaching at GHS but my 10th teaching and 15th coaching soccer in Texas. During my career I've worked for different districts in North Texas, including two years teaching/coaching in Madrid,Spain before coming to GHS. I graduated from Grapevine High School in 1995 and I feel so lucky and honored to be back working as a teacher/coach. I believe being able to speak a 2nd or more languages opens many doors. The Spanish language is the second most spoken language in the world. Being bilingual or multilingual is very important and here are 10 reasons why learning a second language is very important:

    1) An edge in the job market
    2) A fatter retirement account
    3) A better understanding of your native language
    4) More fulfilling travel experiences
    5) Other languages come easier
    6) A global perspective
    7) A bigger brain
    8) A sharper memory as you age
    9) Broader education options
    10) Newfound meaning

If any of those reasons have piqued your interest then you'll be in the right place to learn Spanish. I understand everybody learns in different ways and at different paces. I'm here to help and assist you in any way, and I'll try my best to meet your needs. We'll have fun learning grammar, culture, arts, and music from different Spanish speaking countries. So, come ready to have fun and learn something new every time.

I believe anybody can learn anything when giving the opportunity and the tools to do so, with Patience, Perseverance, Persistence + Dedication and Determination.
"El exito es fruto de la constancia, continuidad, y paciencia"
    Never give up, never surrender!!!

I speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, and I'm getting fluent in Italian. I enjoy spending time with family and friends going out or having a BBQ. I love very much traveling and getting to know new cultures, soccer, music, dancing, running, rock climbing, camping, international films, photography are among my hobbies. I look forward to a great school year!!!
