“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.” ~John Dewey

I’m both honored and thrilled to serve my high school alma mater, Grapevine High School, as an Assistant Principal.  I strive to set high goals for myself as well as set high expectations for all educators and learners while being a role model for students.  As an instructional leader, researcher, and advocate for robust Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning environments that nurture scientifically literate learners, I serve to support the success of the Grapevine High School community.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in 2000, I spent the next ten years implementing various teaching and learning methods in elementary, middle, high school, and undergraduate classrooms in inner city, rural, and suburban areas. I also served as a volleyball and softball coach.  For the past seven years, I’ve served as a Science Instructional Coach, Science Curriculum Coordinator, and then STEM Curriculum Coordinator.

Bachelor of Science in Education from University of North Texas (2000)
Master of Education in Science and Technology Education from Southern Methodist University (2011)
Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University (2013)
Doctor of Philosophy Candidate in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in STEM Education from Texas Tech University

It’s a GREAT day to be a Mustang!
