“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.” ~John Dewey
I’m both honored and thrilled to serve my high school alma mater, Grapevine High School, as an Assistant Principal. I strive to set high goals for myself as well as set high expectations for all educators and learners while being a role model for students. As an instructional leader, researcher, and advocate for robust Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning environments that nurture scientifically literate learners, I serve to support the success of the Grapevine High School community. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in 2000, I spent the next ten years implementing various teaching and learning methods in elementary, middle, high school, and undergraduate classrooms in inner city, rural, and suburban areas. I also served as a volleyball and softball coach. For the past seven years, I’ve served as a Science Instructional Coach, Science Curriculum Coordinator, and then STEM Curriculum Coordinator.
