    My name is Amy Bouchelle and I am the school counselor at Silver Lake Elementary.  I am committed to the academic, social, and emotional development of SLE students.  I teach monthly guidance lessons in grades K-5, provide short-term group counseling and individual counseling, and help SLE families locate community resources supportive of their children's specific needs. 
     
    Below is a  list of the different character traits, skills, and "I Can" statements that we will focus on each month in our guidance lessons:
        
      September - Kindness & Self-Esteem (I can be an effective communicator.)
           October - Positive Influence (I can be a skilled problem solver.)
       November - Positive Influence, Service, & Assertiveness (I can be a global citizen.)
       December - Kindness & Advertising (I can be a global citizen.)
           January - Goal-Setting & Decision Making (I can be a self-regulated learner.)
         February - Acceptance, Diversity & Social Skills (I can be a skilled problem solver.)
             March - Journaling, Perseverance, & Stress (I can be a self-regulated learner.)
                April - Teamwork/Journaling & Sportsmanship/Communication (I can be a collaborative worker.)
                 May - Goal-Setting/College & Career/Assertiveness (I can be a collaborative worker.)
