Mrs. Parker's Math Page 2017-2018
"Good mathematics is not about how many answers you know...It's about how you behave when you don't know" - author unknown.
I would like to welcome you to the wonderful world of mathematics. The purpose of the PAP math curriculum is to get students prepared for college level math and eventually a career based in mathematics. The PAP curriculum is designed to go above and beyond the level of difficulty experienced in an on-level math course. This rigor will better prepare the student for upper level math courses. The AP program at Grapevine High School culminates with the student taking either the AP Calculus exam or the AP Statistics exam or both!
On a personal note, I have been married for many years and we have three wonderful children. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and later my Master's degree from the University of North Texas. While completing my degree at UNT, I finished the coursework necessary for Gifted/Talented certification.
