Educational Philosophy:
I feel strongly that all students are innately curious and want to learn. Students all have different learning styles and the teacher needs to provide a rich environment, offering a wide variety of experiences that stimulates each student’s particular learning style.
The atmosphere of the classroom depends largely on the attitude of the teacher. It is the teacher who sets the mood for the class and it is up to the teacher to present a positive attitude at all times and always make sure that the classroom provides a non-threatening environment.
In short, the teacher should facilitate the learning process so that students become an active participant in the experience.
Finally, after 24 years in the classroom, I have learned that the most important attribute that a teacher can possess is to love teaching and to make sure that the kids see it!
