Prior to enrolling your student, you must prove residency within the GCISD attendance zone. Residency is the address at which a GCISD family currently physically resides, keeps its personal effects, receives mail, or maintains voter and driver registrations. Post Office boxes are not accepted. To verify residency, you must supply the following documents. These documents will be returned to you. Falsification of any information or documents relative to this verification procedure may result in the withdrawal of the student. *Proof of Residence (one only) Deed of *Additional Proof (one only) – showing same address Driver’s License Utility Bill (other than telephone) For students living with other families: The student's parent, along with the person with whom the parent and student are living, must attend new student registration at the campus and complete either an Affidavit of Residency and/or a Special Power of Attorney. The person with whom they reside must provide the same residency verification documents as listed above. To complete enrollment, you will need to present the following documents for your student: Birth Certificate or another document suitable as proof of the student’s identity – Used to establish legal name, age, and guardianship of the student. This must be provided by the parent or another person within 30 days of enrollment. In addition: — Guardianship or Custody Papers if applicable.
