About Mrs. Green:

This is my 30th year of teaching.  I am a charter teacher at Heritage Middle School.  I was the original A.L.L teacher for HMS in 1992.   My bachelor’s degree is from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota and my master’s degree is from the University of Kansas.

I’ve been married for 44 years and have three children.  My husband is the senior academic advisor at North Lake College in Irving.  Our oldest, Jeff, has completed a PhD. at Notre Dame.  He is an assistant professor of philosophy and Dean of the School of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University. His wife, Kara, is a consultant public health nurse, an adjunct professor at HBU and working on her Nurse Practioner's degree at UT Southwest Health Center in Houston.  Robyn graduated with both a B.S.and a M.S. from Texas Tech University.  She was the Director of Secondary Curriculum in the Lubbock-Cooper ISD after spending six years teaching high school sciences. She is currently teaching missionary children secondary math and science in Papua New Guinea.  www.ntm.org/robyn_green   Allison graduated from UT Tyler,  http://www.uttyler.edu/news/magazine/fall2010/section4.php with a B.S.N.  She worked in the Operating Room at Aberdeen Woman's Clinic in Freetown Sierra Leone, West Africa last year and has recently returned to be an operating nurse on the Africa Mercy Ship.  http://www.nursemissionary.blogspot.com

I am the 6th grade Inclusion teacher. This means that I go into the 6th grade classrooms and help the children with special needs in the general education setting. The Academic Learning Lab (A.L.L.) is also open throughout the day for tutoring. Stampede time is a great time for extra help and to catch up on work.
One of my strongest beliefs in education is that all children can learn.  As an educator, I may need to find the secret key to unlock a certain child’s learning style…..but all children can learn.  It is a pleasure to work with your child everyday.
