Mrs. Holder graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education, all levels K-12.  After graduation, Mrs. Holder worked for an advertising firm as an artist in Houston.  When she moved back to Waco, she continued in the commercial art field creating logos and advertisements for local companies such as Word Publishing.

Mrs. Holder was fortunate to be a stay at home Mom when her two children were young, but continued freelance calligraphy on wedding invitations and other art endeavors.  After moving to Grapevine, she worked for the GCISD in various positions until an art-teaching job became available.  She began her art-teaching career in 2001 at O.C. Taylor Elementary.  She became a full time art teacher in 2006 with Bear Creek being her other school in the elementary rotation. Her experiences in the art field over the years have been rewarding, yet nothing compares to the joy she's experienced teaching art to these young students. My children are grown (daughter, Taylor and son, Paul) and I enjoy time at home with retired husband, Mark and dog, Zelda.
