  • Don't Be Fooled - Kindess is COOL!

    Wednesday, April 1st

On Wednesday, April 1st, campuses across the district will celebrate GCISD Kindness Day. While we celebrate random acts of kindness in our schools year-round, this is a special day designated to bring attention to the positive impact even a small act of kindness can make and also to help us gear up for the district-wide Rachel's Challenge Rally including a Fun Run and Community Event on April 18th.

In celebration of GCISD Kindness Day, students and staff across the district are encouraged to wear a Rachel's Challenge shirt as a reminder to spread kindness throughout the day. If you don’t have a Rachel’s Challenge shirt wear your Bransford T-shirt!

Rachel’s Challenge T-shirts are scheduled to be delivered on Monday, March 30 for those who ordered.

  • Mrs. Claus Makes a Special Visit

We were so surprised to learn that Kindergarten had a visitor waiting for us in the library this morning.  Apparently, Santa feels the kids have been very well behaved and he sent Mrs. Claus to read us some books and answer a few questions. She also enjoyed hearing about all of the antics Santa's elves are up to these days!   We really enjoyed her time with us.

  • Snuggle Up and Read

As you walked the halls of Bransford Elementary you could see children and their parents relaxing in their pajamas and enjoying a good book.  Every once in a while you would hear a chuckle as a student came to an amusing part in their story.  Children could be seen bustling the hallways and moving from room to room to listen to the animated stories the CHHS Theatre Department were there to share.  Teachers pushed carts of milk and cookies up and down the halls for all to enjoy.  The sounds and movement through the halls were a delightful reminder of the joy that can be found in a good book.  The annual event was enjoyed by all and many students are looking forward to next year!

  •  Midway Games

4th grade just finished designing and creating their very own midway games! After reading to learn about the Texas State Fair, students designed their own midway game and built a working model to share with their class. Students applied critical thinking and problem solving skills to build a game that would work and be enjoyable for others to play. Wow! What creative games we were able to enjoy! Here is a sample of the games that students in Mrs.Chapman's fourth grade class created!
