    Shape/Form- create and identify: circular, rectangular, triangular, or square.
    Color/Value- identify: primary and secondary
    Space- Identify and use space on a particular plane.
    Texture- Identify rough, smooth, hard, and soft.
    Pattern- Identify pattern in artwork.
     
     
    1Grade
     
    Line- Create and identify dotted, broken, spiral, diagonal, horozontal, vertical, wavy, zigzag, and outline lines.
    Shape/form- Create and identify free form, geometric, oval, cube, sphere, cylinder, and  cone.
    Space- Create large and small spaces in a varirey of locations on a picture plane.
    Color/Value- Mix secondary colors and identify warm, cool, and neutral.
    Pattern- Create pattern in color, shape, and line.
    Texture- Identify tactile and visual.
    Unity- Create unity by placement on a picture plane.
    Balance- Show balance by placement of objects.
    Proportion- apply proportional relatioships of objects.
     
     
    2Grade
     
    Space- Use shape on a picture plane showing near and far.
    Color/Value- Mix and apply tins, shades, light and dark values.
    Unity- Show unity through repetition of elements.
    Balance- Create and identify semetrical balance.
    Variety- Show variety by varying the size of art elements.
    Line- Use expressive lines to show emotional equality.
    Shape/Form- Use form as a 3-D shape and identify similiar and dissililiar shapes.
    Pattern- Identify and create regular and irregular patterns.
    Emphasis- Show emphasis through the use if color.
    Proportion- Create artworks showing realistic use of subject matter.
     
     
    3Grade
     
    Shape/Form- Identify overlapping, varying size, placement, names of geometric shapes.
    Space- Identify and produce foreground, middleground and background in a composition.
    Unity- Identify and develop unity through overlapping shapes and use of detail.
    Balance- Identify and produce works of art using a symmetrical balance.
    Proportion- Identify and produce artworks using correct body proportion.
    Line- Create designs using directional quality, repeated pattern, and interwoven movement.
    Color/Value-  Identify and create artworks based on opaque, transparent, monochromatic, and intermediate colors.
    Texture- Identify, create, and produce texture through patter, motif.
    Pattern- Identify patterns using alternation of elements.
    Emphasis- Identify emphasis through isolation.
    Variety- Develop variety through contrast of art elements.
     
     
    4Grade
     
    Line- Create artworks using gesture, implied, contour, and/or radiating lines.
    Space- Produce an artwork based on perspective formed by differing size and placement on a page.
    Emphasis- Show emphasis by the placement of objects in a composition.
    Balance- Create a design based on radial balance. 
    Proportion- Describe and create an artwork using facial proportions.
    Shape/Form- Produce artworks based on symmetrical, asymmetrical forms/ shapes. Create a composition showing the illusion of depth.
    Color/Value- Describe in artworks and create an art piece based on intense, light-dark values, and complementary colors.
    Texture- Identify texture in artworks which is part of the everyday environment.
    Pattern- Identify patterns used in works of art and apply a pattern in a composition.
    Unity- Create compositions with unity through variety and awareness of theme.
    Variety- Identify and design artworks by using positioning of art elements.
     
     
    5Grade
     
    Line- Identify and create compositions using dynamic, converging, and illusionary lines.
    Color/Value- Identify and use passive and aggresive colors, warm colors, analogous colors, and colors that show emotion.
    Texture- Use pattern to create pattern in realistic works of art.
    Unity- Identify and create works of art showing the harmony of elements using similarities, placement, organization, details, and theme.
    Emphasis- Identify and create works of art that show emphasis through the use of direction and convergence.
    Shape/Form- Identify geometric, freeform, natural, manmade, distorted and realistic shapes.
    Space- Create artworks using shadows, light sources, and perspective.
    Pattern- Identify and create artworks using the application of pattern through variation and repetition.
    Balance- Identify and creat compositions using a choice of techniques to show balance.
    Variety- Identify and create compositions showing variety of motif.
    Proportion- Create proportion showing the ratio of parts to the whole.
