About the teacher:
I live in Colleyville with my husband of 29 years, David, and our two children Eli and Emily. Our son, Eli, is a former Glenhope Gator and will be entering his Senior year at GHS. Our daughter, Emily, will be in the 7th grade at CTMS. Snow skiing, water skiing, swimming and biking are a few of the things my family enjoys doing together.
I am proud to say that I have been a part of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD schools since 1993. I did however take some time off with both of my children but was very fortunate to be able to join the outstanding teaching community of GCISD. I have spent the last 8 years teaching at Cannon Elementary a GCISD STEM School. While there, I spent time teaching 3rd, 2nd, 1st, Reading Recovery and Kindergarten. This will be my second year at Glenhope and the ASPIRE Academy.
Quotes that Capture what I believe about teaching:
"Teaching is a creative profession, not a delivery system. Great teachers do (pass on information), but what great teachers also do is mentor, stimulate, provoke, engage." -Ken Robins
"Teaching is not the mere imparting of knowledge but the cultivation of an inquiring mind." -Jiddu Krishnamurti
"A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his image, but to develop students who can create their own image." -Unknown
