Guidance Curriculum-I will teach guidance lessons to each grade level in their classroom once per month. These structured lessons are designed to be appropriate for each developmental level (Topics include but not limited to: bullying prevention, friendship skills, social skills, appropriate ways to communicate feelings, ways to promote kindness and compassion to others, stress management, goal setting/study skills, etc.). Guidance curriculum is also provided school-wide through assemblies that promote character development.

    Individual Planning-
Individual planning refers to assisting students in understanding their own development and setting goals to further their success in school and social-settings. Individual planning may consist of meeting one-on-one with a student to set goals and create a plan for academic success such as study skills or test-taking. I may assist students in creating career goals. Having an end goal in mind helps students strive to achieve more. Individual planning may also consist of setting social goals for students such as working on appropriate behaviors

My door is always open to your student to reach out and ask for help or a listening ear.

System Support-It is part of my job to motivate and encourage CES staff in a number of ways. However, not only is it important that the staff is prepared, educated and motivated to serve students, it is important for you as well. Providing parents with proper tools and knowledge on a range of topics can strengthen your relationship with your child and encourage their success. System Support also includes my continued professional development.
