Kindergarten Registration for the 2013-2014 School Year
May 6-10, 7:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. in the school office
Kindergarten Rally, May 7, 5:30-7p.m. in the GES Cafeteria
Plans are underway for the 2013-2014 school year at Grapevine Elementary and we are so excited about welcoming our new Stars!!To register new students, you will be required to register online at www.gcisd-k12.org with the GCISD student registration system powered by Infosnap. (Click on the New Student Registration button on the right.) The system is a secure process which allows the district to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow you to electronically sign the annual permission forms for school district policies prior to the beginning of the school year. In short, this online process will replace most of the hard copy student registration and permission forms. Computers are available for your use at Grapevine Elementary if needed.
In addition to your online registration confirmation page, we will need the following information:* Birth Certificate
* Social Security Card
* Current Immunization Record
* Proof of Residency: Deed of Sale, Executed Lease or Property Tax Statement and a Utility Bill (gas, electric or water bill only)
* Parent’s Driver’s Licence
All documents should be turned into the front office May 6th-10th or at the Kindergarten Rally. Your child can not be placed on a class list until all registration requirements are provided.
Trustees Approve Attendance Zone Adjustment
The GCISD Board of Trustees approved a proposal to adjust attendance zones for Bear Creek Elementary and Grapevine Elementary schools to alleviate crowding at BCES. Trustees approved the plan during a regular meeting Feb. 25. Read more
Interdistrict/Intradistrict Transfer Information
The window for transfer requests was Friday, March 1 through Monday, April 1 at 4:30 p.m. If you submitted a transfer request during this window, a letter notifying your family whether or not your child's transfer has been approved will be sent no later than April 30, 2013.
