Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Sherry Keith. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I attended the University of San Diego and earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. After graduating from USD, I attended National University and earned my teaching certificate, along with a Master's in Cross-Cultural Education. I also hold a certification in English as a Second Language.
This is my 15th year in GCISD. I formerly taught Elementary Spanish at Heritage and O.C. Taylor but, in 2011, I transitioned to the classroom. I taught first grade for the 3 years and this will be my 4th year in second grade. I have truly found my niche - I love this team and I LOVE this grade level!
About My Family and Me
My husband, Robert, and I have been married for 15 years. We have three daughters. Cambria is a graduate of Heritage Elementary School and is now in 7th grade at HMS. Corynn is in 4th grade here at HES and my "baby", Caralie, is in Kindergarten. When I'm not brushing hair, playing "school" at home, or cheering (loudly) at softball games, I love to read. I also enjoy laughing, singing, going to the movies, pinning school-related things on Pinterest, and putting items in my virtual cart on teacherspayteachers.com.
Aside from all of that, my passion is teaching. I love to teach and I cannot wait for this year to unfold! Your children and I are going to have a lot of fun learning this year and I am so excited! If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by email or by phone.
