Kindergarten Rules:

At O.C. Taylor we RESPECT ourselves and each other. This means I will:

R   1.  use my manners and pay attention.

E   2.  be kind to others.

S   3.  raise my hand to speak.

P   4.  wait my turn and work well with my friends.

E   5.  be quiet in the hallways.

     C   6.  follow directions in the classroom and on the playground.

          T  7.  do neat work and turn my work in on time.

Rewards:

1.      Verbal praise and hugs/high fives

2.    Positive notes

3.    Stickers, tokens & prizes

4.    Special privileges

Consequences:

Upon a verbal warning, a child will lose a snap cube.  Warnings are only given for minor infractions.  When all snap cubes are lost, a child’s clothespin will move to the next color.  Every child’s clothespin starts on blue each day.  Any color changes will be marked in their take home folder and will specify the rule that was broken. 

1^st Time: 5 min. time out (green)

2^nd Time: 10 min. time out (yellow) 

 3^rd Time: 15 min. time out and parents contacted (red)

Severe Behavior: Office referral and parent contact. Cases are dealt with on an individual basis. (black)
