  • Friday Weather Update - Early Dismissal

Due to deteriorating winter weather conditions, high school and middle school students are being dismissed early from school today. Release times are 11:30 a.m. for high school (buses) and 12:15 p.m. for middle school, and 1 p.m. for elementary school. High school drivers will be released at 11:15 a.m., in advance of the buses. Buses will run regular routes on the early release schedule. Parents are welcome to pick up their child at any time. The KidzU after-school care program will be available until 4 p.m. today at all elementary campuses. If conditions worsen, KidzU personnel will contact parents directly to discuss an earlier pick up.

Additionally, after-school activities for Friday, February 27, and into Saturday morning, February 28, have been cancelled. If conditions improve throughout the day on Saturday, GCISD personnel will discuss the possibility of continuing these activities. Please check our event rescheduling page for updates on cancelled events. We will work as quickly as possible to reschedule these events and will communicate changes through our sponsors, schools and on the district and school websites. Thank you and please drive safely.
