Welcome to Fourth Grade at GES!! This will be my 7th year teaching, and words cannot express how excited I am to be a part of such a wonderful school.

Besides having a passion for working with children, I also enjoy anything to do with acting. It is not uncommon for Mrs. Redmon to have “special visitors” in her classroom as I love to dress up as different characters to present lessons.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 12 years, and we have three sweet girls.  Anna is 7 and will be in 2nd grade here at GES, Lily is my kind-hearted 3 year old, and Kimber is our adventurous 18 month old.  I enjoy camping, riding bicycles, visiting historical places and museums, reading, and spending time outdoors (when it’s not 105°). I'm currently working on my masters in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in literacy studies. I absolutely love LEARNING!
I believe learning should be fun and enjoyable for all children.  As their teacher, my top priority is to provide a truly student-centered classroom built on mutual respect and encouragement.  Our 4th Grade team has many exciting activities and projects planned for your child this year.  Your child will be connecting with other students outside of the classroom through blogging and Skype sessions.  They will take part in project based learning experiences and will use digital resources to research, create, and showcase their learning.  I am a strong believer in providing differentiated learning, student choice, and the power of a growth mindset.  This year I will be self-contained which basically means I will be teaching all subjects.  My hope is for my students to become passionate learners.  I'm looking forward to a wonderful, productive school year!
