I have been teaching since 1997 in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. I've been at Bransford since 2011. I taught at Cannon my first 8 years and then moved into a science specialist position. While that was a fascinating experience, I realized that my true passion is in the classroom. I taught at Silver Lake in third grade and then was blessed to move to Bransford.
I received my degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas in 1997. Go Ichabods!!! I know, wasn't Icabod a character in Sleepy Hollow?
I grew up in the Missouri Ozarks. My favorite memories of school are typical of your kids. I remember playing chase, swinging and turning flips on the bike racks. I also remember the smell of wet paper towels and my first grade teacher's perfume. In science class we used food coloring to make daffodils turn colors.
I have two children, Sarah and Josh. They are grown now, and living on their own. My son Josh works for Tuesday Morning in their corporate office as an up and coming executive. My daughter Sarah is a stay at home mom to my two wonderful grandchildren. My grandson Maddox is a source of great joy to all of us. Maddox and I are artist together. I have a second grandson named Mikey, he is not in school yet, and a new baby boy named Mason. I know, I'm lucky.
I love teaching kids and being taught by them. Thank you for being a part of the Bransford family!
