What is a Digital Classroom?

GCISD is excited to introduce our new digital classrooms.  While all our teachers utilize technology in the classroom, we have a select group of teachers who are piloting new classrooms.  The students in these classrooms utilize digital tools necessary to approach learning in a whole new way. 

While the content of our course will not change, the manner in which students access information and construct meaning from it will look different.  Each student has an iPad to use in class every day.  In addition, classrooms have personal laptops for student use.
