Family and Community Resources
It is important to integrate community services with special education to offer families of children with special needs a more well-rounded approach to helping their child. Accessing community services can equip parents through:
- Education and workshops
- Understanding and access to state programs and services
- Social activities designed specifically for kids with special needs
- Connecting with others who face similar challenges
- Preparing your child for life outside of the world of education
