• Our Classroom Rules

Each classroom decided on their own rules.  Although the wording is different, the rules are all basically the same.

    1.  Treat one another with respect.

    2.  Respect the property of others.

    3.  Follow directions the first time.

    4.  Raise your hand to speak.

    5.  Try your best everyday.

Here at Glenhope, we follow the guidelines for Project Wisdom and the Honor Code that have been adopted by the GCISD school board.  The Honor Code reads:

“As members of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District community, we will nurture a climate of honor, integrity, respect, tolerance, and trust for all members of the community.  These traits will help us be successful both in school and life.”

In addition to those guidelines, the students will receive a verbal warning when their behavior is inappropriate.  Consequences for continued or severe inappropriate behavior may include:

                                 Discussion with teacher

“Think About It” during the first 15 minutes of recess

                                 Loss of classroom privileges

    Note/phone call to parents

                                 Intervention by office staff

A Communication Sheet will be sent home in a folder.  Your signature each Friday will let me know that you have looked at the papers in your child’s binder.  This sheet will also give you information about your child’s conduct for the week.
