  • GHS Mustang Bells JV Dance Team
    The Grapevine High School Mustang Belles JV Dance Team attended the MA Dance Line Camp at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Richardson. The weekend was filled with learning 5 dance routines, team building sessions, dance technique sessions, and numerous practice sessions in preparation for their final Grand Champion Competition performance. The Belles received multiple awards including:

    Congratulations to GHS student John Biebighauser for placing 6th out of more than 300 students at the National Speech and Debate Humorous Interpretation Finals!

  • GHS band seniors receive thousands in scholarships
    The Grapevine High School Mustang Band recently awarded $7,500 in college scholarships to 13 band seniors at the Grapevine High School Band Banquet. In addition to scholarships,select band members were recognized for musical and leadership excellence during the 2013-2014 school year.
    According to, Brandt Leonard, assistant director of bands, this special group of seniors and band members survived and overcame several challenges and obstacles throughout the past couple of years that made their band participation both a challenge and a learning opportunity.

  • Board Approves GHS Head Volleyball Coach

    cooper The GCISD Board of Trustees named Kori Cooper as the new head volleyball coach at Grapevine High School during the Board meeting on Monday, July 21.

    Cooper most recently has served as junior varsity and assistant varsity volleyball coach at Amarillo High School, where the varsity team won the 2013 4A State Championship.

    Cooper played volleyball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was a member of the 2006 National Championship Team. She was twice honored as an Academic All American in 2008 and 2009, and named to the All Big 12 First Team (2008-2009), Academic All Big 12 (2007-2009) and Big 12 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll (2006-2010). She also was honored as a female student athlete of the year finalist.

    “We are excited to welcome Kori Cooper to the athletic staff at Grapevine High School,” said Phil Blue, GCISD Executive Athletic Director. “Coach Cooper’s extensive collegiate success, state-championship experience and academic accolades make her a great leader for our Lady Mustangs, both on the court and in the classroom.”

    Cooper graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Football Tailgating Guidelines:
    GCISD welcomes our community supporters to come cheer on our students at athletic events. Due to limited parking space, and to provide an enjoyable experience for all, some general procedures regarding tailgating should be followed. Only one parking space per vehicle is allowed. Large vehicles such as RVs, trailers, etc., can be parked at Grapevine High School; a shuttle service to the Stadium is provided. Thank you for your assistance and enjoy the game!
