Important Information for registered 2016-17 senior Dual English students:

1.   Set up your WebAdvisor/myTCC accounts.  For step-by-step instructions click here
2.  Dual students must attend mandatory fall meeting on Friday, August 26th, during your scheduled Dual period in the lecture hall.  *Student WebAdvisor and myTCC accounts must be set up before this meeting.
3.  The 1st day of Dual English starts on Monday, August 29th.  
4.  Payment for fall Dual English courses (ENGL 1301/1302) is due no later than Friday, August 19th.  Please submit payment through your TCC WebAdvisor account.  If needed, you can set up a payment plan through the student's WebAdvisor account or by contacting the TCC Business Services Office at 817-515-4PAY (4729).

Dual Enrollment Information
Tarrant County College Dual Enrollment Steps for GHS 2016-17 Seniors: 
STEP 1: To be eligible to take Dual Credit English during the 2016-17 school year, current juniors must have attended a mandatory meeting (offered in February 2016) with a parent or guardian.    PowerPoint presentation from Mandatory Meeting (2/2016)  
STEP 2:  Submit Pink Commitment Form to Counseling Office by Monday, March 21st.  Once the Commitment Form is submitted, students will be given information on the next steps of the registration process.
STEP 3:  Students will be given an appointment time to meet with the TCC Registar's Office in a computer lab at GHS on Wednesday, March 30th.  During the student's appointment time, the TCC Registrar's Office will assist students in filling out their ActiveApply application for TCC.  Students will also be given instructions on taking the Texas Success Initiative (TSI-A).
*To be exempt from taking the TSI-A test a student must have an SAT score with a minimum of 500 on the Critical Reading & Math with a combined score of 1070 OR an ACT score of 19 (minimum) on the English section with a 23 Composite score.
Students using SAT Scores to be exempt may use scores from tests taken from January 2011 to January 2016.  Students should bring an unofficial score report of their SAT and/or ACT scores to prove their exemption status on the day of the ActiveApply application session (March 30th).
STEP 4:  Students (who are not TSI exempt) will take the TSI-A at the TCC NE Campus during a designated window (April 4-15). Students will need to give the GHS attendance office a signed form from the TCC NE Campus Testing Center confirming the date they took the TSI (form will be given to students during appointment time on March 30th).  There is no cost to take the TSI-A.  Students will need to show their picture ID and know their TCC student ID number to take the TSI-A at the TCC NE Campus Testing Center.  Students must give a copy of their TSI-A results to their high school counselor.  Students will receive their TSI-A scores immediately following the completion of the assessment.
STEP 5:  Students do not need to go to TCC to register for their 2016-17 Dual English class.  GHS will give TCC official transcripts and signed Early High School College forms for all 2016-17 Dual English students.  
STEP 6: There will be a mandatory meeting for all 2016-17 Dual English students on Friday, August 26th, prior to the start of Dual classes.  This meeting will review online resources (myTCC and WebAdvisor accounts) as well as textbook information and classroom expectations. Payment for Dual Credit tuition will be due prior to the first day of class each semester.  Payment can be made online through the student's WebAdvisor account or in person at any TCC Business Services Office.  
Students taking summer classes at TCC: will need to obtain a Dual Credit, Concurrent and Collegiate High School form from the GHS Counseling Office as well as an official transcript.  The student will register for summer classes in person at the TCC NE Campus Registrar's Office.  Proof of a meningitis shot is required students taking a course at any TCC campus location or utilizing any of the campus's resources such as the Tutoring/Learning center. 
*Students taking courses on the TCC NE Campus over the summer should also obtain a parking decal from the TCC NE Campus Police Department.  Parking decals are free to students when they provide a receipt of their paid semester tuition.
