Texas Armed Service Scholarship Program-  Provides financial support to students who participate in Reserve Officers' Training Corp (ROTC) at Texas Civilian Universities and want to become members of the U.S. Military
Scholarship winners must agree to a four-year commitment to the Texas Army National Guard or the Texas Air Force National Guard.  Scholarship can be up to $10,000 per academic year.

To be eligible for scholarships, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
*Be a U.S. Citizen
* Graduate from high school
* Be at least 17
*Meet appropriate physical fitness standards
*Must not be a single parent
*Recommended Academic Scores
      *SAT (CR & Monly) 1100 or abov
      *ACT = 24 or above
      *GPA - 3.0 or above on unweighted 4.0 scale
      *Class rank must be in Top 40%
 
Students in the Air Force ROTC program attend a typical, 4 - year college.  In addition to regular classes, students attend one weekly lecture class each
semester in college and a Leadership Lab, which is an opportunity for Junior and senior cadets to hold leadership jobs.  Minimum time commitment is around 5-7 hours a week.
