Personal Information: My family and I moved to Texas, three years ago, from Southern California, where I had been teaching for the past 27 years. It seems I’ve taught just about everything in that time, including every English class from sixth to twelfth grade, as well as drama, speech and debate, journalism, yearbook, computer, even French. This is my third year at Bridges, and I'm excited about working here.
I've been married 33 years to my husband, Jon, who is a professor at The Kings University-Gateway. We have two children--David who is 27 and Charissa who is 22. David lives in Los Angeles, working at a talent agency, and Charissa just graduated from Baylor University in Waco.
I love spending time with my family, watching old movies, shopping, eating out at new restaurants and watching baseball.
Teaching Goals: My goal this year is to challenge each of you to reach higher for the potential and possibilities in your lives. I want you to find the courage to try, to take risks. I want you to speak so that the world will listen to you, and I promise to teach you the skills to achieve that goal. I will push you to excel, but I also promise to give you the respect, care and understanding to help you reach those heights. I want you to set priorities straight. I will help you to value a character of honesty, responsibility, and respect and to measure success by the kind of person you are.
