
The Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation has selected Mary Alice Rippe as the 2012 Distinguished Friend Award recipient. The Distinguished Friend Award is bestowed upon an individual who has demonstrated a commitment to the mission and vision of the Foundation. Rippe was recognized at the Foundation’s “Celebrating Our Stars” Academic Recognition Banquet on May 24, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Outdoor World in Grapevine. Mary Alice Rippe has worked tirelessly to enhance the quality of public education through her ten years of service to the GCISD Education Foundation. She has served as a part-time administrative assistant and full-time volunteer bookkeeper, chaired and served on almost every committee, and served as a director for three years, the past two as the Treasurer. As a mother of four GCISD graduates, she has also shared her knowledge and experience by serving on a multitude of GCISD and community efforts, as well as leadership roles for all of her children's school PTAs, booster clubs, Project Graduation, Friends of the Colleyville Public Library, and many more. |
