A little about me…
I graduated from the California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, received my Masters in Educational Administration from San Jose State University and hold multiple credentials in Texas and California.
I have been Learning Liaison at Bear Creek since 2015. Prior to this, I taught seven years in grades 3-6 at elementary and middle school as well as two years working as a middle school instructional coach. As a coach, I supported 150+ middle school teachers in the implementation of literacy in all instructional areas and classroom technology. My work has also included writing ELA curriculum for LearnZillion.com and serving as a teacher facilitator for the UC Berkeley History Social Studies project.
Teaching is a second career for me, having worked in non-profit fund and program development prior. My heart has always been in education, so it was a dream come true to make the transition to teaching and I have never looked back!
My Life Outside School -
I am a recent transplant to Texas, embracing the Texas way of life, though, as a life-long fan, my baseball heart will always be with my SF Giants. My oldest daughter is married, living in Garland. While my youngest attends CSU Fullerton.
