Dave Denning, Principal
I am honored to serve Grapevine High School students, staff and parents as your principal. My goal is to continually build unity, honor the rich traditions, keep the focus on providing every student the opportunity to be successful in the classroom and in the community and graduate students who exemplify the GCISD Portrait of a Graduate.
I have been an educator in GCISD since 1998, when I began my teaching career as a social studies teacher, girls’ athletic coach and coordinator at Cross Timbers Middle School. In 2006, I was named the assistant principal at Colleyville Middle School. After serving one year as assistant principal at Grapevine Middle School, I returned to CMS as principal in 2012. I was named Grapevine High School principal in 2015.
I was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University and my Master’s from Tarleton State University. My wife, Heather, and I make our home, together with our two wonderful daughters, in Grapevine. We are truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful district and community.
