    When your student is absent:

    • You are encouraged to call the attendance office on the morning of the absence.
    • Upon return of the absence, students must bring a note from a parent or doctor.
    • Upon return to school for three or more consecutive days due to personal illness, please bring a note from a doctor or medical clinic.

    Compulsory Attendance:

State law requires that a student between the ages of 6 and 18 must attend school.

    Attendance for Credit:

To receive credit or a final grade in a class, a student in kindergarten - grade 12 must attend at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. Students who have absences (excused and/or unexcused) that may put them in danger of not meeting the 90 percent law, will be offered opportunities to attend seat time and/or the district Why Try Class. Please talk with your child's counselor or assistant principal.
