This is my eighth year to teach at GHS. I was named GHS' 2008-2009 "Teacher of the Year" by my peers and GHS Student Council's "Teacher of the Year" for 2009-2010. I have taught Algebra I, Algebra I ESL, Algebra I PAP, Algebra II PAP, and Algebra III...and this year I am teaching Algebra I PAP and Algebra II PAP. I deeply love teaching all levels of Algebra and I hope that my love of math and learning will be contagious. I became Mrs. Kevin Dearing on May 1st, 2010 and love, love, LOVE being married. My maiden name is Ingram, and my students have always called me "Miss Ing", so when I took my husband's name, my students were very quick in realizing that I could still be "Ms. Ing" since "ing" is still in my last name. I jokingly told my husband that his last name was really what sealed the deal since I would still be able to keep my school, student-given nickname.
On weekends, I enjoy reading and relaxing, game nights with friends, spending time with my family and my husband, and watching movies. Kevin and I are actively involved in our church, First Baptist Church, Euless, where I grew up attending and where Kevin and I met and married. Also, WE'RE HAVING A BOY!!! Emerson Luke is due April 2, 2013! I plan to work up to my due date and then be on maternity leave for the rest of the school year. |
