My name is Donna English and I am one of the many science teachers here at GHS. I have a B.S. in Chemistry and have an overwhelming love for science. Prior to coming to GHS I spent the largest portion of my time on research. I have been published in two distinguished chemical journals including The Journal of Organic Chemistry. It is a great honor to be here and I want to thank you for giving me the pleasure of working with you.
The goal in my classroom is to have fun learning. Classroom experiences revolve around playing with science. Students are encouraged to think critically and are constantly involved in problem solving and in-depth discussions.
I was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. I have two wonderful kids ages 15 and 10. We moved here to Grapevine in the summer of 2007. My Bachelors degree was awarded from Old Dominion University in 2005. I continued into graduate school at ODU doing research in computational organic chemistry. After 1 year at ODU I headed off to the chemistry department at UNT where I continued my work in computational chemistry before coming here to GHS.
