Clark Wiethorn –  Instructor / Grapevine Police Officer

This year I will be instructing 3 courses under the Criminal Justice program. Law Enforcement 1 and Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security are in their 2nd year of conception.  Our newest course being implemented this year is Court Systems and Practices.

A little background information on me:  I have 10+ years of Criminal Justice experience.  I am currently an active member of the Grapevine Police Department having been assigned to the patrol division for the last 3 years prior to accepting this teaching position.   Before that I worked for the United States Secret Service in Washington D.C. for a little over 2 years. During my time with the Secret Service, I was a member of the Uniformed Division and was assigned to the White House detail.  Prior to that I worked as a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville, TX for 5 years.  While working as a Correctional Officer, I obtained a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University.

I am excited to have the opportunity to share with the GCISD students my knowledge, experience and passion for a career that I feel is essential to the existence of a functional society.
