    Who can join NHS? 

    Candidates (sophomore, juniors  or seniors) eligible for selection to the chapter shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4.  In addition, they must not have a failing grade.  This does not include a failing semester grade that has been retaken and replaced with a passing grade. 

    When can I apply?  

    Students can apply after receiving a formal invitation letter from the collegiate academy. 

    How do I apply? 

    Students can apply by completing a student membership form after receiving the invitation letter. 

    What are the requirements?

    Any additional information? Students may receive an invitation letter next year if they meet the eligibility standards even though they may not have been eligible this year. 

    2016-17 NHS Officers will be elected by the NHS members at the first meeting after induction.

    NHS Member Responsibilities 

    Each member shall have the responsibility for attending meetings and choosing and participating in an individual service project that reflects his or her particular talents and interests and as approved by the chapter adviser. This is in addition to the chapter projects to which all members contribute.

    These projects shall have the following characteristics: fulfill a need within the school or community; have the support of the administration and the faculty; be appropriate and educationally defensible; and be well planned, organized, and executed.
