Bryan Higginbotham - Math Instructor
I am excited to be teaching Geometry PAP and AQR (Advanced Quantitative Reasoning) this year. This is my 16th year at Grapevine High School and 25th year of teaching overall. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in education. My experience has included coaching football and baseball and serving as Co-Chair of the Math Department. I also serve as the district's SAT administrator.
I have been married to my wife Laura for 22 years and we have two awesome kids of our own. My oldest son, Tim, is a 10th-grader at GHS and my youngest son, Philip is in the 7th grade at CTMS.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy coaching youth sports and anything to do with mountains. Since there are no mountains in Grapevine, I like to trail run and mountain bike to stay in shape. When I do go to the mountains with family and friends we like to climb state high points and 14ers. This past summer I climbed two mountains in Colorado (Harvard and Columbia) with Philip and then the whole family (along with extended family and co-workers) climbed Kilimanjaro, the hightest mountain in Africa (19,341 ft)
