Hey CES Cowboys!
My name is Kirstin Hodges! I'm so excited to be your child's teacher and welcome your child to be part of our kindergarten family!
Here's a little bit about myself:
I was born and raised in Carlsbad, California, where most of my family remains. I graduated from Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, California. I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and received my bachelors in Elementary Education in 2014. (Go Jays!) After graduation, I taught kindergarten for one year in Omaha for Omaha Public School District. The next year, I got engaged and moved to Dallas! I taught kindergarten for two years in Dallas. This summer, my husband and I moved into our first new home in Keller, Texas! This 2017-2018 school year will be my first year at Colleyville Elementary School in GCISD. I'm so thankful to be part of such an amazing elementary school and even more thankful to have your student in our little kindergarten family! In our class, we follow the golden rule, celebrate each other, we are respectful, find passion in learning and we love one another! I believe a classroom is a place that fosters not only learning, but a place where all students will be successful. I'm so honored to be your child's kindergarten teacher and to be part of their life!
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me either running, working out, crafting, spending time with my husband, blogging and visiting with family! I love to travel and exploring new areas. When Colin and I have the chance to travel, we do! I love all things related to fashion, heartfelt quotes, rustic antiques, puppies, pretty flowers, a fresh pedicure, boating, Mexican food, bulldogs, sitting by the pool and a good football game! (Go Cornhuskers!)
We're going to have a wonderful school year and I'm so thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher! This year will be filled with endless educational opportunities that will guide your child's growth. I'm so honored to be your student's teacher. It's going to be a GREAT year!
