• INJURY NOTES AND EXCUSES FROM PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS AND RECESS:

PER GCISD district policy handbook:  “If a child brings a doctor’s/parent note excluding him/her from physical education, the same restrictions will apply at recess."

Please send a parent note explaining why your child needs to be excused from P.E. or any particular activity.  This note will also require them to miss recess.

A doctor’s note is required if the child must miss three or more consecutive days of P.E. class.

If a doctor’s note is sent for an injury, we will also need a doctor's release for your child to return to physical activity.

    GRADING:
Grades for P.E. will be recorded each nine-week grading period.
Students will receive two grades: Skills/Participation and Conduct.
Skills grades are based on physical skill tests, body and self-control, game comprehension and rule following, participation and cooperation.
Conduct grades are based on their citizenship, sportsmanship, attitude, and willingness to participate.
