  • CHHS Track

The track team had two last events this Saturday. Grayson Barber was invited to and competed in the Texas Top 40 Mile. The kids with top 40 mile times in the state were invited to College Station and raced a mile on Texas A&M's cross country course. He was seeded 40th and finished 21st with a time of 4:34.

Julie Culbertson was invited to the Texas Meet of Champs held at Baylor University's new track complex. Julie was one of eleven girls invited to the meet for the steeplechase. She competed in the 2000 meter steeple chase and got 6th.

Congratulations are in order for not just Grayson and Julie but for all the track athletes. With two kids competing in these special events, it is a reflection of the entire track program and we are so proud of all their efforts.
