Mary McCracken

Mrs. McCracken grew up in Fort Worth and attended Haltom High School.  Upon graduation, she then attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor of Music, cum laude. While attending UTA, she studied clarinet with Carol Jessup and played bass clarinet in the Wind Ensemble and Clarinet Choir. She also played Bb clarinet with the clarinet choir, Concert Band, and the Woodwind Ensemble.

Mrs. McCracken in starting her 9th year of teaching and 6th here at CTMS. She started her career by teaching Elementary music in Arlington where she soon discovered how important the band program is in the life of a young musician.  She then moved to Forest Meadow Junior High in the Richardson Independent School District.  Her concert band received first division ratings at Sandy Lake Fun Fest and her beginning students received first division ratings at the RISD Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Her professional affiliations include; Tau Beta Sigma, Texas Music Educators Association, and Association of Texas Professional Educators.  She lives with her husband Eddie, daughter Elena, son Ewan and the family dog, Rueben in the Keller area. During her free time she enjoys playing her clarinet, spending time with her family, watching movies and cooking.
