  • Colt Proud:

Here at CMS we are very proud to offer an Independent Studies Course. The purpose of this course is to provide a constructive, challenging environment in which to maximize the potential of high-achieving students to learn as much and as fast as they can among peers of similar abilities on topics that interest them.  Students will design a self-determined project or product with the goals of developing a knowledge base that is both broad and deep and cultivating skills that are socially and emotionally rewarding, but also have real-word global applications.

KevCorp was created by our student Kevin Donovan who is a student in Mrs. Morgan's Independent Studies class. Kevin is a 13 year old with an interest in electronics. He created an electronic motor to make objects move or act based on how he programs it. Kevin said that he had created this motor based off  a product they sell in stores. Kevin's motivation behind his invention is getting more people excited about electronics and making more affordable product for kids to experiment and play. We are so proud of our many students here at CMS who are forward thinking and future bound!
