CMS PTA Gives Texas PTA Awards
The CMS PTA recently awarded the Texas PTA Friends of Children Award to Jeanie Pavliska and Amy Van Zandt. Toni Thalken received the Texas PTA Extended Service Award.

CMS Math Club Members Excel at State TMSCA State Competition


Congratulations to Math Club Members Alex Krutko, Lan Luo, Max Krutko, Justin Yan, Luka Valencic, and Mashiur Fahim.  Their performance at the TMSCA state competition in San Antonio earned the team a fourth place finish in general math.  The CMS 4th place finish was against 67 other 5A schools, an exceptional job was done by all members of the CMS math club!

 

Of the more than 1900 competitors at the TMSCA tournament, our team finished the competition as follows:

 

Mashiur Fahim  76th in math, 36th in science

Alex Krutko   2nd in math

Max Krutko   32nd in math

Lan Luo  2nd in number sense, 13th in calculator, 19th in math, 102nd in Science

Justin Yan   20th in math
Luka Valencic   37th in math, 14th in science

Congratulations to Tony Liu, our CMS Geography Bee champ! Tony will represent Colleyville Middle School at the Texas National Geographic Bee on Friday, March 30. The winner of the State Bee will then advance to the National Bee.
